Amvic insulated concrete forms – buildaroo.com

Vanessa and Gary talk about Amvick building systems. Amvic produces insulated concrete forms, or ICFs. These started as basement foundations and have grown in application to full industrial wall systems. The ICF is composed of a concrete core, expanded polystyrene walls, and a %100-recycled polypropylene “web” that holds it all together. The polystyrene is expanded with steam. The environmental advantage of ICF walls is the significant energy savings in manufacturing and construction. Expanded polystyrene is also well recognized as an excellent insulator, generating energy savings during the full life of the building.
